Believer's Baptism

Baptism is a personal and public declaration of the faith in God and belief in Jesus. As part of the Baptism service the believer is asked to declare "Jesus is Lord". This declaration is taken from Romans 10:9 which says, "If you confess with your lips that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Baptism by full immersion reflects Jesus' own Baptism in the River Jordan.
